Welcome to 1st Porthmadog Scouts Website.
Our Group is based in the Town of Porthmadog.
Porthmadog is a harbour town situated on the Glaslyn Estuary located on the North West side of Wales.
Porthmadog is rich in Maritime history. The town was named after W. A. Maddocks whose ambitious "Cob" embankment scheme led to the town's name, which translates as "Madog's Port".
Our HQ is located near the following activities.

# The Childrens Farm Park (6.1 miles)

# Electric Mountain (13.3 miles)
# Zip World Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda (17.2 miles)
Our groups are on the following days:
Beavers (ages 5 & 3/4 years to 8 years) - Wednesday @ 5:15pm - 6:30pm
Cubs (ages 8 years to 10 & 1/2 years) - Monday @ 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Scouts (10 & 1/2 years to 14 years) - Thursday @ 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Explorers (14 years to 18 years) - Wednesday @ 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Groups are only on during TERM TIME.
(We use our Gwynedd Council term time dates)
Every one in scouting are volunteers.
We need you.
Join Our Adventure and offer your time, to help grow our young people at
1st Porthmadog Scout Group.
Our award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouting as our young people.
Scouting’s quality depends on its volunteers and our volunteers depend on Scouting to teach them the skills they need.
